摘要
Silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs) have diverted the direction of researchers and industrial communities due to their widespread applications in different fields. Currently, Ag-NPs have been reported in biomedical areas, such as antimicrobial activity, wound healing ability, and acceptable application in water quality observing for the fabrication of biosensors and biomarkers. Ag-NPs are the attractive nanomaterial amongst several metallic nanoparticles and are used as a disinfectant and antibacterial agent in water. According to the applications of nanoparticles for different purposes, methods have been developed to synthesis Ag-NPs with size control, shape, surrounding medium, solidity, and efficiency. However, in this review, various recently developed synthetic techniques have been discussed deeply with their biomedical and commercial field applications. Since the last two decades, many synthesis mechanisms of Ag-NPs have been published, such as physical, chemical, and biological mechanisms. However, it has been observed that the chemical method turned out to be more trustworthy, cost-effective, and comfortable to handle while ssynthesising Ag-NPs. While the physical synthesis method (in the tube furnace) has various disadvantages to produce Ag-NPs due to the consumption of large amounts of energy and takes much time to achieve thermal stability.
