N-Adamantylphthalimide-based Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence Emitter for Solution-processed Organic Light-emitting Diodes

摘要
A new thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitter (BCz-PI-Ad) with two carbazole donor units and an N-adamantylphthalimide acceptor unit was designed and synthesized for use in fabrication of solution-processed organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs). BCz-PI-Ad dissolved easily in various organic solvents and showed solvatochromism. A solution-processed OLED with 10 wt% BCz-PI-Ad:4,4'bis(9H-carbazol-9-yl)biphenyl as the emitting layer gave a bluish-green emission (lambda EL: 493 nm). The maximum external quantum efficiency was 13.6%.
