摘要
Desmopachria is one of the largest genera of Dytiscidae with 104 species described, of which 39 are recorded from Brazil. Two new species of Desmopachria of the D. portmanni group from Brazil are described and illustrated. These new species were collected in temporary shallow pools in tropical forest areas: D. duodentata sp. nov. from Presidente Figueiredo, Amazonas State and D. undulatosterna sp. nov from Teresopolis, Rio de Janeiro State. Both new species have metasternum and metacoxae without punctures, metasternum with horizontal undulated impressions, and metacoxae with vertical undulated impressions. Each species can be diagnosed by the shape of the male genitalia.
