摘要
We present the results of recent studies of binarity and multiplicity of chemically peculiar stars. The rate of binarity is strongly varying among different subclasses, which encompass magnetic Ap and Bp stars, HgMn stars, and metallic-line Am stars. The obtained observational results are discussed in the context of understanding the mechanisms generating chemical peculiarities and of A and B star formation in general.
