摘要
In telecommunication, there are several types of microstrip antennas, also known as printed antennas. The most common of which is the microstrip patch antenna or patch antenna. Common microstrip antenna radiator shapes are square, rectangular, circular and elliptical, but any continuous shape is possible. Microstrip antennas are really cheap and mostly exploited for UHF communication. Since their ability to have polarization diversity, the ease and precision in their design is really important and challenging. In this work, a fast method for the design of circular and equilateral triangular microstrip antennas, based on a Support Vector Machine, is presented. Numerical results obtained by using this technique agree quite well with the results of Method of Moments. The proposed technique can therefore be fruitfully used in microwave and millimeter wave CAD applications.
