摘要
Reducing shear and peel stress and stress concentrations is important in terms of increasing the total strength of adhesively bonded composite joints. In this regard, two types of adhesives with different rigidity and geometric pattern are used together by employing the hybrid bonding method and the effects of the geometric shape and rigidity on the stress distribution of the single lap joints are examined via the finite element method. As a result, the peel and shear stresses are reduced significantly by using hybrid models in which two different adhesives with different adhesive pattern are used when compared to single adhesive bonding joints.
