摘要
A 68-year-old man with a history of non-Hodgkin lymphoma presented with fatigue, weight loss, and coughing. Recurrent lymphoma was suspected and the patient then underwent an FDG PET scan, which revealed multiple foci of hypermetabolism in the mediastinum and bilateral hilar regions of the lungs. Two follow-up FDG PET scans were performed during and after chemotherapy to monitor the effectiveness of the therapy. There was diminished activity in most lesions during and after chemotherapy. However, I lesion in the region of the right hilum continued to grow during chemotherapy, which was later proven to be squamous cell carcinoma of the lung.
