摘要：

A case of a snake bite in a cat by a common viper is reported. The typical signs are haemorrhagic and oedematous inflammation around the wound and shock. The recommended therapy consists of snake antivenom, corticosteroids and antibiotics; moreover, symptomatic therapy is used, especially for shock treatment.
