摘要：
This study aims at providing the keys to understand why the Spanish Parliament has finally decided to legalise assisted death and its main choices in doing so. In this sense, the following pages examine the evolution of the Spanish society's opinion on assisted death and the constitutional context of the Organic Law on Euthanasia in the light of the ECtHR's doctrine on articles 2 and 8 ECHR and the recent constitutional judgements on the matter, especially in Europe.
