摘要
The strategic role and potentials of miniaturization in the future development of chemical sciences are discussed, stressing the importance of microfluidic approaches in developing chip-based devices for analytical applications in the biological and pharmaceutical fields and parallel processing of chemical reactions. Drastic improvements in efficiencies, cost-savings, safety, and mobility are envisioned.
