Fractal image coding algorithm of design and realization in wavelet domain

摘要
In view of classics fractal image compression algorithm's coding time excessively long question, it studies the wavelet transformation in the fractal image coding application, the wavelet coefficients of an image present two characteristics when the image is processed by wavelets: one is that the energy of an image is strongly concentrated in low frequency sub-image, the other is that there is a similarity between the same direction high frequency wavelet subimages. But the fractal coding essence is that it precisely uses the similarity of the image. From this designs one kind of fractal image coding algorithm in wavelet domain. The theoretical analysis and the simulation experiment indicates that, this algorithm guarantees the quality of the reconstructed image. Under the premise, to some extent this method can reduce the coding time and enhance compression ratio of the reconstructed image.
