摘要：

This contribution deals with the coining and use of technical neologisms on the basis of some examples. Special emphasis is put on the original meaning of already well known terms, which are interpreted in a new sense. Anglicisms and pseudo-Anglicisms play an important role in this connection. In the field of engineering and technology the meaningful and correct use of technical terms is significant; it reflects the understanding of the tasks to be solved and is a concern of the information culture.
