摘要
In this paper, the benefit of a recently proposed provably stable MPC scheme with short prediction horizon and without stability-related terminal constraints is shown on a real -life cryogenic plant. It is in particular shown that the proposed formulation enables to stabilize the resulting closed-loop system with marginal extra-cost and moderate prediction horizon's length while avoiding the feasibility issues and the computational burden that can be induced by the use of terminal constraints related formulations. This result is a step towards filling the gap between realistic and used-by-practitioners MPC formulations on one hand and provably stable formulations on the other hand.
