摘要
A comparison between magneto-impedance properties measured in magneto-strictive nanocrystalline Fe-based melt-spun and glass-covered wires is presented as a function of microstructure. Giant magneto-impedance response has been investigated in both low- and high-frequency regions for different thermal treatments. A strong correlation with the domain structure, affected by the microstructure of the material, has been observed. Glass-covered wires turn out to be characterised by higher GMI values at all the studied frequencies with respect to rapidly solidified wires. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
