摘要
TrafGen[1,2] is a tool we developed that generates IPv4. IPv6, IP multicast, TCP, UDP, RTP and HTTP traffic following a client/server architecture in order to evaluate the performance, via measurements, of several network elements and services. The aim of this paper is to present the new functionalities of TrafGen, which are Poisson, Pareto and M/Pareto emission patterns. To simulate the realistic Broadband traffic we use the M/Pareto model. The Poisson mode is used to simulate normal web traffic over the network.
