Coating of La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3 (LSCF) was examined on the Fe-Cr alloy interconnects for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs). A pulse laser deposition (PLD) method was applied to fabricate The dense and compact coating layer on Fe-Cr alloys. The thermal cycling was applied to examine the stability against oxidation. LSCF coating was effective to reduce the growth rates of oxide scales at LSCF/Fe-Cr alloy interfaces. However, some cracks were observed on the LSCF coating surface after thermal cycling; this was due to the thermal expansion mismatch between LSCF coating and Fe-Cr alloy. Some other effects were considered to estimate the stability of oxide coating.
