摘要：

The effect of a growth-promoting factor obtained from an extract of chlorella on the growth of yeast was investigated. The factor was isolated from Chlorella vulgaris CK-5 by a procedure involving hot water extraction, ethanol fractionation, ion exchange chromatography, Sephadex G-10 gel filtration, silica gel column chromatography and thin layer chromatography. The isolated factor was apparently homogeneous, as judged by thin layer chromatography. The molecular weight of the factor was estimated to be 642.9 by time-of-flight-mass. The amino acid composition of the substance was alanine, glutamic acid and threonine. The yeast growth-promoting factor obtained from chlorella was suggested to be a glycopeptide.
