摘要
This paper describes the activity object-oriented simulation strategy for the activity object-oriented visual construction simulation system (AOOVCSS) developed with object-oriented approach. Using the activity as the object, the activity object-oriented simulation strategy incorporates the object-oriented approach with conceptualizing of the real construction operation, both from the points of view of developers and modelers. So not only the developers may be assisted during developing period, but also the system users will be assisted in modeling with the graphical activity-based network. Besides, the activity object-oriented simulation algorithm corresponding to the activity object-oriented simulation strategy is used to carry out the simulation experimentation. Instead of checking all activities for each simulation time unit, as AS (activity scanning) simulation algorithm does, it dynamically activates and checks only the related activity only when involved entities are being released by another activity object, so it will speed up simulation experimentation.
