摘要
This article is devoted to the study of value orientation and achievement motivation among 1st year university humanitarian students (Russia). In the modern world the values of achieving success are strengthening. High school is one of the opportunities to express and strengthen students' own achievement motivation. In University students are with certain ambitions and plans for life. It is very important to be in harmony with your achievement motivation and morality. It is assumed that there are two components in the structure of achievement motivation: adaptive achievement motivation (related to social prestige, competition and need for feedback) and transcendentive achievement motivation (connected with overcoming, realization, preference of difficult tasks, compensatory effort). This study involved 68 students, 15 male and 53 female (all of them study Humanities). To study achievement motivation we used << The Achievement Motivation Inventory >> (A. Mehrabian), << Achievement motivation: adaptation and transcendence >> (O. S. Vindeker). To research value orientations we used Schwartz's Portrait Values Questionnaire (W. Schwartz). It is determined that achievement motivation correlates with a wide range of value orientations (p <= 0.05): social prestige, high financial status, power and so on, and also with the values of self-development (creativity, self-actualization, personal growth, etc.). It is concluded that humanitarian students' achievement motivation has a complex structure (adaptive and transcendentive motivation) and correlates with not only the values of success and efficiency but also with personal moral values.
