Synthesis of lariat ether derivatives and their self-assembly to polypseudorotaxanes

摘要
Three kinds of bisarylene crown ether derivatives with a self-recognition side arm were synthesized starting from resorcinol and catechol, and their structures were confirmed by NMR, IR and ESI-MS spectra. Their self-assembly behavior in solution was investigated by means of H-1 NMR experiment in acetone-d(6). It was found that the chemical shift values of protons of the lariat ethers were changed with increase of their concentration. These results indicate that daisy chain-type polypseudorotaxanes were formed in concentrated solution. Their thermal stabilities were also studied by thermogravimetry analysis.
