摘要：

This work provides explicit parametrizations of unit trace, positive semidefinite matrices operating in low dimensions. It also characterizes those positive matrices which are projections. Two distinct types of parametrizations are provided. Neither relies on the spectral data of the Hermitian matrices being parametrized. The types of parametrizations (which are further one-one) are very suitable for calculating several quantitative measures in quantum information science. Copyright (C) 2003 IFAC.
