摘要
The study was designed to evaluate the effects of coriander essential oil (CEO) on morphine dependence and tolerance. To evaluate the effect of CEO on the induction of morphine dependence and tolerance, CEO (2.5 mg/kg bw) and clonidine (0.1 mg/kg bw) as the positive control were injected i.p. To determine the expression of morphine dependence and tolerance, all compounds were injected once i.p. on the day of the experiment. The effect of CEO and other agents on the dependence was evaluated by counting the number of jumps and standings, defecation and weight loss induced by naloxone (5 mg/kg bw) while the tolerance was evaluated by the tail-flick test. Clonidine reduced the severity of withdrawal signs in the expression phase. Results indicated that CEO had significant effects on morphine tolerance and dependence.
