Electron spin decoherence due to hyperfine coupling in quantum dots

摘要
The decoherence of an electron spin due to the hyperfine interaction in a realistic quantum dot with a large number of nuclei and with varying degrees of initial nuclear polarization is obtained. A nonperturbative method for calculating the spin decay time is given. The spin decay is described by the powers of a single function I(t) that arises from the inhomogeneity of the hyperfine coupling in the quantum dot. The behavior of an ensemble of dots is decidedly different from that of a single dot.
