摘要
In this paper, an omnidirectional ultra-wideband planar monopole antenna with a low profile based on highly conductive graphene film is presented. By introducing the tapered structure with a U-shaped slot and two S-shaped meander lines, a better impedance matching is achieved for ultra-wideband. The proposed antenna adopts highly conductive graphene film (CGF) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrate, which reveal great benefits such as flexibility, light weight and conformal shape with thickness of only 0.548 mm. The antenna operates from 100 MHz to 1000 MHz with voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) less than 3.5 while exhibiting omnidirectional pattern in horizontal plane with the average realized gain of 1.9 dBi. The simulated results show that the planar monopole antenna has great potential for wearable and conformal devices.
