Exchange coupled composite layers for magnetic recording

摘要
On the basis of the theory of micromagnetism we have analytically calculated the nucleation and depinning fields of composite exchange coupled spring systems composed of soft and hard magnetic layers. The values of the critical fields sensitively depend on the thicknesses of the layers and determine the shape of the corresponding hysteresis loop. The quality of the analytical calculations is OF verified by numerical micromagnetic simulations. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
