摘要
The ease of access to the Internet and the possibility of sharing scientific information exponentially increase the production and use of information in specialized databases, portals and academic social networks. Publishers and individuals share texts and audiovisual, to streamline the flow of scientific information, technological, political and cultural, as well as collaborating with other researchers. The aim of this paper is to present, in a synthetic way, some forms of support for the process of scientific communication that helps researchers in obtaining and sharing scientific and scholarly information. These features, called Knowledge Resources, are presented with a brief description, its use and how they can be accessed/used. The Database services are presented: with warning system of new publications, such as Dialnet and Web of Science; Theses and Dissertations Databases, such as Biblioteca Digital Brasileira de Teses e Dissertacoes do IBICT, Portal de Teses e Dissertacoes da CAPES and OAIster Database; References Managers as Citeulike, Endnote, Mendeley, Refworks and Zotero; Support Mechanisms, such as Authormapper, Curadoria de Conteudos, Google Alerts and ORCID; and, finally, Academic Social Networks as Academia. edu, MethodSpace and ResearchGate. We conclude that, to the extent that it becomes complex the search and the information sharing on existing informational overload on the web, new services, standards and resources emerge as a way to alleviate this problem and help researchers in the scientific and academic communities in productions bibliographical and sharing these with other researchers. So, research initiatives and ways of identifying authors and their research become vital to the development and expansion of more Knowledge Resources.
