摘要
Myth and revelation do not contradict each other. The Holy Scriptures of the so-called "great" religions incorporated ancient myths and reinterpreted them in their new context. This process is clearly perceived in the book Genesis of the Jewish-Christian tradition. Especially the myths of origin are reflected in the first chapters of the Bibel and have got there a new interpretation Therefore, it is important to recognise the originality of the ancient images and symbols of creation, Life, nearness of God, fall of man, and punishment in order to distinguish the message of the biblical hagiographers from that of the underlying myths and to revive the hidden original symbols in the psyche of mankind.
