摘要
The method of ethylene glycol determination in flue gases is described. Glycol under-goes sorption either on solid adsorbents such as silica gel or activated carbon, or in bubbler absorbers filled with water. Water is the best for desorption of glycol from silica gel; in the case of activated carbon methylene chloride doped with 5% of methyl alcohol is recommended. Limit of determination is 10-20 mg m(-3) depending on the sorbent used and the volume of air drawn through the sorbing train.
