摘要
Tomato growing has an important share in our economy. In addition, tomato is one of the major income sources of growers in tomato growing areas. However, abiotic diseases are one of the most important problems in tomato plants. Global warming, in particular, has recently been observed to increase these problems in tomato plants as well as other cultivated plants. Diseases caused by abiotic factors have been determined in Ankara and Eskisehir provinces, having considerable tomato production areas of Central Anatolia Region for several years. One of the most important problems was indicated by extreme heat conditions in these production areas. Furthermore, problems caused by faulty agricultural treatments were found to pursue it. Specifically, some damages on the leaves, petioles, stem and fruits caused by abiotic factors were detected. Also sunscald, lesions, cracks and deformations on the fruits were determined to reduce market value and yield of tomato.
