摘要
This Electromagnetic Halbach Array generates a "Single-sided" electromagnetic field and can effectively extend the power transfer distance in wireless power transfer. This paper presents simulations and experiments to study the effect of the coil parameters on the performance of the Electromagnetic Halbach Array wireless power transfer system. In this work, the number of turns was varied while keeping the overall coil size and pitch constant to observe the power transfer efficiency. From results obtained, it shows that more turns recorded a more uniform power transfer over larger distance. Moreover, the electromagnetic Halbach array has the potentials to increase the transfer distance more than the conventional two-coil system.
