Peccaries (Pecari tajacu) production in captivity can present an interesting alternative of sustainability development in rural communities of Brazilian Amazon, because can constitute an income source to small and medium farmers The study was realized by dates rised up together to the with the scientific breeding of peccary from Embrapa Eastern Amazon and inquiries regarding to wild animal meat market's conjuncture in Brazil and in study's area. The initial investment on activity is R$ 30.288,48, including rates to regularization together to the IBAMA, structures to confine animals, forage implantation and acquisition of equipments. The time planning the development was 10 years, and the total annual cost after the project stabilization is R$ 37.376,20. The activity showed viable according with the VPL indicators (R$ 77.567,71), TRI (32%) and RB/c (R$ 1,26), considering the cost opportunities 7,65% a.a. These Informations are important to guide possible initiatives entrepreneurs with interest to invest in rurals areas in Brazilian Amazon, specifically in Para state, like Institutional actors responsable to agricultural polices conduction in this region, such as rural credits and Environmental regulations.
