This paper deals with the stability of linear discrete-delay systems. Two stability criteria that are described by evaluating a corresponding harmonic function on the boundary of a torus region are presented. Testing these criteria can be proved to be much easier than those reported in the literature. (C) Elsevier Science Inc., 1996
