摘要
Polymer-hydroxyapatite composites are an attractive biomaterial for bone and tooth implants. Compared with conventional methods, microwave synthesis is a fast, simple and efficient method to prepare nanosized biomaterials. In this work chitosan-hydroxyapatite (CS-HA) composite were obtained under MW radiation. With increasing MW power, the average size of the HA crystallites, formed in the presence of chitosan, decreases from 31 nm (300 W) to 24 (800 W). With in creasing micro wavepower, the swelling degree of sample sincreases from 40 to 55% and porosity decreases from 28 to 18%. A similar dependence iso bserved with a nincreasein the alginate polymercontent.
