Environmental legislation directly influences the environmental management of SMEs. Thus, enterprises management, the environmental management which it applies, must take into account legislation and regulations on environmental pollution control and pollution prevention. Environmental management applied by Romanian SMEs, identifies pollution sources and pollutant emissions, to reduce and finally eliminate them. Noncompliance with environmental legislation such as the removal of emissions, waste may lead to environmental degradation sometimes with irreversible effects.
