FRANCESCO BIAMONTI AND THE TRAGIC OF HOLDERLIN AND CAMUS

This paper is a reading of Francesco Biamonti's fiction in the context of the postmodern sensibility of the 1980s and in the light of Friedrich Holder lin's theory of Tragedy. Such a philosophy offers the opportunity to unveil the poetic and ontological dimensions of texts which express Biamonti's typically postmodern disillusion and lack of faith through the description of an extraordinarily beautiful and intensely desolated landscape. In Biamonti's scenery and imagery light's variations and chromatic intensity are the epiphenomenon of Camus' solar conception of tragedy.
