摘要
Turbulent flow in a paired corotating disk assembly with through flow is studied numerically. A RANS equation with near wall turbulence model is used in conjunction with an isotropic eddy viscosity model to disclose the mean and turbulent flow properties. The velocities and the mean shear vectors change directions continuously as they move away from wall. The lag angle between them is up to 31 degrees within the log layer and precludes the use of log laws to bridge the near wall flow. A wake less wall law represents the resultant velocity profile in terms of wall coordinates. The disks' moment coefficient is lower than the one found for free-disk flows but it follows the same tendency. The turbulent flow properties are in qualitative agreement with recent experimental measurements and DNS on disk flows.
