摘要
Underemployment. resulting from the inability to use the labor force correctly and effectively is a type of employment that causes low efficiency in the labor market and in the country's economy. The purpose of this study is to determine the common characteristics of individuals being underemployed in Turkey by using the raw data of Household Labor Force Survey between 2014 and 2017 published by Turkish Statistical Institute. In this study, individuals probability of being underemployed is estimated by the logistic regression model. As a result of the analysis; being male, being young, being single, having low education level, being a social sciences graduate, living in developed regions and having started to work quite soon have been found to be the common features that increase the likelihood of being underemployed.
