On the Potential Danger of Using Exoskeletons to Commit Crimes

Currently, the development of exoskeletons for civilian and military use is rapidly developing all over the world. The purpose of this work is to determine the level of danger to society from the uncontrolled use of exoskeletons by the state, including for illegal purposes. The study reveals that, in general, the threats to social relations from the unlawful use of exoskeletons by criminals can range from the creation of mass disturbances in public places, violent crimes and threats to citizens to the emergence of more sophisticated ways to steal, burglary and art thefts. The original conclusion is that a government strategy is needed to recognize and manage the risks in misusing exoskeletons while encouraging their responsible use for the public good, as well as creating a legal liability mechanism as a preventive measure to prevent misuse of exoskeletons.
