摘要
The grain refining mechanism of a carbon addition method was investigated. An apparent segregation phenomenon of carbon was found in castings treated with carbon. It is considered that the carbon element, which has a tendency for searegation, could greatly affect the constitutional undercooling and restrict the grain growth during the solidification process.
