Application of integrated biomass and solar heating system in the building sector

摘要：
The first integrated biomass and solar energy system was implemented at Kacergine Sanatorium with technical and financial support of Swedish National Energy Agency. A wood chip boiler, a large area plate solar collectors system with storage tank and a new distribution network for heating and hot water supply from the new boiler house to all connected buildings in the sanatorium were erected. The results of technical-economical evaluation of integrated biomass/solar energy system for space heating and hot water preparation at Kacergine children's sanatorium were presented. The new energy production, costs and reduction of harmful emissions into the atmosphere were calculated as well.
