摘要
In this paper a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm for a small wind turbine (SWT) will be presented. The SWT considered in this paper is connected to a DC microgrid which is connected to the grid. In the proposed MPPT algorithm, a voltage value is varied according to the changes in the DC-link power to achieve maximum power output at all wind speeds. The presented MPPT algorithm calculates the required duty cycle to control a boost converter within the system to achieve maximum power output. The MPPT algorithm was tested by simulations and provided very good results. The system was modeled in Matlab/Simulink, and consists of a SWT driving a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG), which is interfaced to a DC microgrid using a rectification stage and a boost converter. Simulation results of the presented MPPT algorithm operating with varying wind speed are presented demonstrating its performance.
