摘要：

Global market competitiveness of enterprises depends on a number of factors. Over time, methods were developed to improve the manufacturing process. In recent years, attention turned to the design phase. In this third-party product phase began to take life from conception to establish user need detailed (detailed design). In this phase, an important stage is prototyping. This paper presents the rapid prototyping method as a way to reduce the duration and the cost of product development. The experiment showed in the paper was made at University of Pitesti, using machine ZPrint 310 plus. Several aspects have been covered: the number of iterations in the design phase, a series of analysis (geometric, ergonomic, launching in manufacturing).
