A wavelength division multiplexed linear fiber laser sensor array system using four distributed feedback fiber lasers (DFB FLs) is reported. The characteristics of frequency noise are investigated experimentally. Results show the interaction between neighboring (in wavelength space) fiber lasers spaced similar to 2.4nm is so weak that the influence of crosstalk could be omitted. With optimization of pump sequence, all the fiber laser sensors would reach the system minimum detectable frequency noise. A further discussion about the influence of transmission fiber is also included.
