Searches for SUSY in leptons plus jets plus missing energy final states with CMS

If supersymmetry would manifest itself at a low mass scale It might be found already in the early phase of the LHC operation Generic signatures for supersymmetry in pp-collisions consist of high jet multiplicity, large missing transverse energy (MET) as well as leptons in the final state. The presence of charged leptons makes these signatures more robust and therefore facilitates their application in early data-taking This talk will concentrate on the observation of a dilepton edge in early (1fb(-1)) data with CMS, and will also present expectations for the determination of SUSY particle masses, albeit with higher integrated luminosities
