摘要
Metal is often used in the Arctic to manufacture constructions of various designs. Metal construction shows itself as most reliable at low temperatures. It is a frequent case when manufacturing of such constructions needs welding. To obtain the latter one of high-quality it is necessary to define what conditions would make it of the highest quality. Even brief contact welding area with oxygen can significantly degrade the weld quality. Gas is used to protect the welding area. The article is dedicated to computer modeling of gas-shielded area for welding processes. The paper considers a mathematical model of the process and contains a simulation carried out in FlowVision software. The use of numerical calculations for the mathematical model of the protective gas motion process allows you to get a complete picture of the gas flow in the space. Very important is the fact that the results match qualitatively with the experimental ones and can be used in real application. This method allows you to get the result for a particular configuration of the welding process. Thus, it is possible to define and formulate the conditions for implementation of qualitative protection during the welding process.
