摘要
The Indo-Iranians are today the most numerous group of speakers not only within the Indo-European family of languages but also among other peoples of the globe. According to the data of the Times World Almanac in the year 2000 they numbered 1.2 billion people, whereas the Chinese were only 1.075 billion people. This fact alone accounts for the interest in the genesis of this community.
