Influence of initial stress on shear wave scattering in a functionally graded magneto-visco-elastic orthotropic multi-layered structure

摘要
A theoretical model is proposed to analyze the propagation behavior of SH-wave in a functionally graded magneto-visco-elastic orthotropic multi-layered composite structure. Haskell's matrix technique has been used to derive the closed-form dispersion relation for the assumed model. It is found that under certain conditions, the acquired dispersion relation agrees with the classical Love wave equations. Also, a finite difference technique is adopted to deduce the expression for phase velocity and group velocity. Numerical computation has been done and presented graphically to show the effect of different parameters. Stability analysis for the finite difference scheme is carried out to reduce the growth of errors to make it stable and convergent.
