摘要
A method of model-based coding on image sequence using edge information introduced. On the Basis of edge detecting. In image could be divided into exciting area and background area. In this scheme, the architecture of exciting area was approximated with linear type of segments Then a rectangle region was constructed for each segment Finally, the gray value distribution is the region was fitted by normal forms polynomials Model matching and motion analysis were also based on the architecture of exciting area. We use run length scanning and linear approximating to describe background area. Because of normal forms polynomial fitting and motion prediction by matching the image was compressed.
