Structural and dielectric properties of CaWO4 ceramics

摘要
Calcium tungstate CaWO4, a member of Scheelite structural family, has been prepared by conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. Preliminary X-ray structural analysis of the compound shows that it has been formed in single phase tetragonal structure at room temperature. Detailed studies of dielectric constant as a function of temperature suggest the compound has non-ferroelectric property, but contains space charge polarization at high temperature. Study of temperature dependence of de resistivity shows the semiconducting behaviour in the compound at high temperature.
