摘要
The present survey work contextualizes the main technologies of the era of digitalization or Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution. First, the industrial impact and the technological evolution that the predecessor revolutions have historically caused are briefly described, to later present some of the architectures, standards, characteristics, and components of Industry 4.0, where the different engineering disciplines play a fundamental role.
